It's not about my concept of proportion - I refered to the difference in proportion in comparison to the original heroes. Your ones are too realistic IMHO. I think the HQ heroes are classified as "heroic" nowadays (head and torso slightly bigger, overall shape stocky, ...)
Pose:
The bodys of the heroes and monsters of HQ are facing to the front of the base. Your ones are placed slightly diagonal.
Style/Character:
The HQ heroes are archetypes of their races/classes. They're kind of €minimalistic, too. Your miniatures are more detailed in comparison - especially on the face/head. But the details make it harder to identify the miniatures on the gameboard.
Conclusion:
I don't dislike your miniatures - they look great and they are of great craftsmanship, but the announcement "New Heroes for Heroquest" and the presentation arouse high expectations. Zealot Miniatures has also HQ like heroes, but they don't offer them as such. By the way, the Zealot ones don't fit to the original range either.
The notion that you have to be a practical expert or scholar in a field to be able to review or critique the field or argue for your opinion is a sad little notion.
