HQ-Editor HeroScribe
Hey everybody,
It's my first post here, so nice to meet you!
I'm really sorry I can't speak Deutsch but I'm from Italy and the only other known language is English.
I'm the co-creator of an HeroQuest editor called HeroScribe; you can reach my homepage here and find out what it's all about.
I often have a look at german HeroQuest's sites because they're full of good ideas, but I never understand a word ^^; in your sites I found once a link to HeroScribe, so I think it's not known here, also because any of your quests seems to be made with HeroScribe.
So, here's my wonder: do you happen to know HeroScribe? If you do, have you ever tried it?
I'm asking because it has a great potential, just see two PDFs obtained from it:
European quest
American quest
Feel free to zoom everywhere to see the particular oh HeroScribe: it uses vector images, so that the quality remains the same, period.
Again, congrats for the site (please think about an english version of your sites) and please know any feedback is much appreciated.

hi DerfelLink,
welcome to our comunity!
its good to see that everywhere in the world the still play heroquest!
your HeroScribe examples looks nice!
but were can i download it to test the program?
to say something about it!
i never heard before something about HeroScribe!!
i think its a problem too, that the homepages are only in german!
i think it should be available in more languages, but it means "a lot" of work for the webmasters!
and the most of them had no time for that!

Thanks for the welcome !FETT hat geschrieben:hi DerfelLink,

Just follow this link, install a Java Runtime Environment if you don't own it, download the HeroScribe version you need and run it.FETT hat geschrieben:were can i download it to test the program?

I do know that translating would mean a lot of time but I think that seeing your sites and not being able to read them it's a pity; that's just my opinion.FETT hat geschrieben:i think its a problem too, that the homepages are only in german!

Hi Derfel and welcome aboard to our Forum.
It's nice to have an Italian User, although the language barrier will make things difficult...
As FETT said, translation of our HQ-Stuff is insiffucent, cause it takes a lot of time and nobody of the german society could use it.
Nevertheless, if there are special questions, feel free to ask and we will sort it out.
HeroScribe makes some good impression, I personally
work with a layoutsoftware and vectorgrafix myself. But I bet, some of our lads will give it a try.
That's it for now, enjoy yourself!

The answer is kind of complicated, so just click here and you'll get it .FETT hat geschrieben:are there a option to import some new ovelays?
That's one of our last goals, once HeroScribe will have modular dungeons and everything else it needs we'll add the Text option.FETT hat geschrieben:and is a update planed for the quest text?

Keep up the good work
Hi Derfel,
I found my way to the German HQ Forum too but it seems you beat me to it . I have to say, HeroScribe is looking even more impressive with every new release. Keep up the great work!
